Dan Anderson - Cousins in Clay

Dan Anderson honored clay cousin for 

"Cousins in Clay" at Bulldog Pottery Seagrove, NC

Dan Anderson taught for 32 years at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and retired from teaching in 2002 to become a full-time studio potter. Anderson’s pots combine his love of architectural shapes and his fascination for decal illustrations with his sparky sense of humor.  He finds his ceramics a joy to make and when he is finished with the final decal firing... he admits, there is nothing like them in the whole wide world.

We are excited to meet Dan and spend the weekend with him and his pots.  Brian Jones interviewed Dan Anderson last year on the "Jonescast" podcast.  Listening to the Dan Anderson interview on the Jonescast is a fun way to get to know Dan.  While you are there check out some of the other interviews as well.  

Dan will demonstrate on Sunday, June 1, 1:30 – 2:30pm and talk about his experiences as a potter and teacher.

The Cousins Are Coming To The Mountains!

We are getting ready to send out our announcement for our upcoming mountaintop pottery show up in Bakersville, NC at Kline Pottery! We thought it would be nice to give you a sneak peek of the card.

We're all very excited to host our pottery friends and "cousins in clay", Donna Polseno and Rick Hensley, from Floyd, Virginia here in Bakersville on the 24th and 25th of August. We also look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
